House Exchange

May 21, 2009 By: jill Category: Our Home 3 Comments →

A Thanksgiving and Turn-over Dinner will be held tonight (May 28,Thursday) somewhere in De Castro, Pasig City.  Keys of our unit will be turned-over to us as tenants of the newly-built Four-Storey Condo-Apartment.

The unit that we are supposed to be renting is a two-bedroom with balcony.  The environment is nice.  It’s accessible by public and private transportation.  But since my hubby seemed uncomfortable with the size of the unit for a growing family like ours.  We have summoned ourselves to the idea of my great mom-in-law. =)

That is we HOUSE EXCHANGE! This is how we did it:

First of course was to find the home that will be exchanged.  Though this house was really intended for us but for some reasons, well, iIt just happened.  Glad to know, my mom-in-law had love at first sight of everything what the condo-apartment has to offer!  From the outside of the place up to the inside of the unit.  She sure loved it.  Pictures below were taken during her first visit at their soon-to-be new home.

Then we made arrangements.  We will move into their big house with 3 bedrooms, 2 Toilet and bath, with 2 car garage and fully-furnished (since they will bring only what will fit in the two-bedroom unit in De Castro) as we pay the Condo-Apartment Rent  while they stay there.  Because it’s really us who will be moving out we will cover the expenses for the truck movers, lighting etc.  On the other hand, even though we will be moving out from our original place, their house is just a few steps from us.  It doesn’t really cost much.

It’s actually a win-win situation since we won’t worry much about buying new furniture since it’s all there.  All we need is to rearrange, add, less, fix or anything that we desire.   For my mom-in-law, she has always dreamed of moving into a small nice house.  Besides, it’s just the two of them.

House Exchange will take place after the turn-over.  We scheduled it May 30, Saturday!

Cheers to our new homes!!!

Miss Philippines - Fire 2009

May 14, 2009 By: jill Category: Etc Etc Etc 3 Comments →

CONGRATULATIONS to Patricia Marie Tumulak for winning in the Miss Philippines 2009 - Fire and for becoming the Miss Science and Technology.

She is a 21 year old lovely sweet lady from Quezon City who is commonly known by her family, friends and classmates as PATTY!  I don’t know  what is with her but her beauty truly radiates.  Her long hair is her gem.  The shape of her face is really capturing.

Aside from the physical features that this pretty lass has, I recall how comical she can become.  She can liven the boring class with her funny ways. But most of all, she has this fighting spirit that has kept her standing still.  She may have tried and lost from the past but she believed in herself! More than the looks, she’s got the will and confidence to move on.

We are your proud classmates, Patty!

Though most of us weren’t able to watch her beauty and grace of her catwalk during the pageant, we definitely know how she gave her best shot…and she just made it!

CDE (Child Development and Education) Section One is really happy for your success!

God bless you in your cause as Miss Fire2009!

ESL Online Tutor, I am!

May 14, 2009 By: jill Category: ESL Tutor 3 Comments →

A few weeks ago, I had been trying so hard to get myself into blogging.  But with a sudden twist, I turned out to be interested in becoming an ESL Online Tutor.  I signed in to a certain site ( www.cafetalk.jp )and in few days I got a schedule for an hour of class.

Just yesterday, I had my first class as an ESL Online Tutor to a 22 year old Japanese girl.  Being a first timer, it was scary but I guess that was just fine.  I was prepared but I know I can do better.  It was fun though talking to the Jap-girl.

Teaching or tutoring someone also gave me the chance to relearn once again all that I’ve learned.   If in the future, I would gain more students the more that I’ll get to share what I know then the more that I would improve on what I know.  As a result, I would be a better TEACHER for my students.  That’s what inspires me to do tutoring aside from the fact, that I am an SAHM.  It’s just easy and convenient working while I still get to be with my kids whenever I want or whenever they need me.

As I continue to list my username to different sites, here are some that I’ve found and have shared to a few interested friends of mine who are also SAHM like me:

cafetalk.jp

talkbean.com

teacherjames.com

erl-friends.com

My friends, beware that there are sites that are SCAM.  I pray the ones I have signed into are NOT! Plleeaaaasssseeee! : )

Reviving jill.pinugu.com

May 08, 2009 By: jill Category: Etc Etc Etc 2 Comments →

After posting my first ever in this blogsite, I scrolled down the page and found out that it was in 2007 when my husband created this site for me.  It’s been two years since then.  How time quickly passed!

Now, I’m more determined to compile my life here and make connections with the other things that I am making online.  I am hoping this will be a meaningful site not only for me but also for others, I hope so!

This site may not contain a specific topic for a specific audience but it is more of a free space for me..whether it’s as memorable as a family reunion or as simple as the most boring thing that I am going through for a day.

In short, this is the life of Jill who is a stay-at-home-mom to two kids, Sophia and Calix, and awaiting for the addition in September!
