Sunday Sunshine in my Soul #1

September 06, 2009 By: jill Category: Our Home, Sunday Sunshine, mommy moments 3 Comments →

Sunday is the best day to reflect and gives thanks to God for all that we’ve had for the past week whether temporal or spiritual. While listening to Episode 1 of  Music with Message in Mormon Channel, I got inspired to write what gives “sunshine in my soul” today.

It is a rainy Sunday morning.  Oh! I missed the First Sunday in Church today.  I was even awaiting for this day to share my testimony before I give birth this month.  It is now impossible for the audience to hear it but I am glad that I can still write some of my thoughts on what gives “sunshine in my soul”.

  • The Gospel of Jesus Christ. Its truthfulness is what continues to give me happiness with what I have.

  • My baby’s ultrasound yesterday. Two weeks to go.

  • My dinner date with hubby last night.

  • My work-at-home-mom job.

  • Sophia and Calixto.

  • Family Quality Time. Playing with the kids, praying and reading the scriptures with them.

  • The good health that we have.

  • The helps that we get from people who care for us.  My -inlaws, househelpers, friends, etc.

  • Our financial capacity to provide for the needs of our family as well as little of our wants too.

  • The comforts that we have. The house that we live in, the car that my husband drives.

We always have to be thankful for what we have.
This will be my first ever post and I hope to continue giving gratitude as much as I can by putting them all together on

Sunday Sunshine in my Soul.

I intend to share this to everyone whatever race or religion you live by.

Spread the Sunshine!

Being safe is…

August 28, 2009 By: jill Category: Home Safety, Our Home, child development No Comments →

…never too late.  It’s better safe than never.

Before we went home with our little boy from the hospital, we passed by a mall to buy some home safeguards for our children.  Every home with little children should have them.

SAFETY 1ST FINGER PINCH GUARD - a simple but effective way to safeguard against the dangers of slamming doors is to use this. It also helps prevent children from accidentally locking themselves in a room. @PhP 139.75 per piece.

SAFETY 1ST ULTRA CLEAR OUTLET PLUGS – It helps prevent children from putting sharp objects and fingers into electrical outlets. Small children are very curious and are tempted to play with anything within their reach. Outlet Plugs are colorless, making them as uninteresting as possible to little ones, while not interfering with décor. By protecting your outlets you decrease the possibility of electrical shock. @ PhP 109.75 (pack of 12)

They are so simple, easy to use and not really expensive.

…won’t hurt.  It is a having a peace of mind.

Now, our children can play happily.  On our part, less worries but still adult supervision would be necessary.

Jill’s New Routine

June 10, 2009 By: jill Category: ESL Tutor, Our Home 1 Comment →

Watching these shows used to be a part of my afternoon-evening routine.

The Sweet Life by Lucy Torres-Gomez

TV Patrol

May Bukas Pa

Tayong Dalawa

I am not a great fan of these shows but that’s all that I can do after exhausting my energy for a day in the internet. I am so glad I have changed my course since I started my work-at-home. Though I don’t have the time to watch them anymore, I am not saddened by it. What I do now is more fruitful and healthy, I suppose. Besides, it’s just 6 hours!

I just love this new part of my life.

House Exchange has taken place BUT not yet fully. =)

Photos below are from the De Castro Condo-Apartment furnished by Mommy’s (my in-law) own designing taste while moving in my in-laws house is still underway.

Hopefully, we can start organizing and rearranging our stuff when Mommy officially moves to De Castro. (hehe) As for now, we are all together under one roof! =)

Hi Tita Lydia! Here are your most awaited pics.  Here’s a sample of how your house would most likely be.  Mukhang bahay mo daw ito because of your home furniture placed together in their new home.

Check it out and enjoy!
