House Exchange
A Thanksgiving and Turn-over Dinner will be held tonight (May 28,Thursday) somewhere in De Castro, Pasig City. Keys of our unit will be turned-over to us as tenants of the newly-built Four-Storey Condo-Apartment.
The unit that we are supposed to be renting is a two-bedroom with balcony. The environment is nice. It’s accessible by public and private transportation. But since my hubby seemed uncomfortable with the size of the unit for a growing family like ours. We have summoned ourselves to the idea of my great mom-in-law. =)
That is we HOUSE EXCHANGE! This is how we did it:
First of course was to find the home that will be exchanged. Though this house was really intended for us but for some reasons, well, iIt just happened. Glad to know, my mom-in-law had love at first sight of everything what the condo-apartment has to offer! From the outside of the place up to the inside of the unit. She sure loved it. Pictures below were taken during her first visit at their soon-to-be new home.
Then we made arrangements. We will move into their big house with 3 bedrooms, 2 Toilet and bath, with 2 car garage and fully-furnished (since they will bring only what will fit in the two-bedroom unit in De Castro) as we pay the Condo-Apartment Rent while they stay there. Because it’s really us who will be moving out we will cover the expenses for the truck movers, lighting etc. On the other hand, even though we will be moving out from our original place, their house is just a few steps from us. It doesn’t really cost much.
It’s actually a win-win situation since we won’t worry much about buying new furniture since it’s all there. All we need is to rearrange, add, less, fix or anything that we desire. For my mom-in-law, she has always dreamed of moving into a small nice house. Besides, it’s just the two of them.
House Exchange will take place after the turn-over. We scheduled it May 30, Saturday!
Cheers to our new homes!!!
