hi jill, i quit my job as telephone sales representative in a call center here in bacolod. Wanted to try home based jobs so i can stay here at the house st night since my husband is also working graveyard. I have good internet connection at home. How can i apply, im so much interested. thanks

Hi Melba! Of course not! ESL teaching is simple and easy. No paper works, no LPs, etc..you know what I mean. You just have to sit there and talk to your students in a very fun and interesting way. Of course, with the correct accent and grammar. Lessons can be found using the Internet.

hi mommy jill.. is ESL teaching as stressful as teaching in a regular school? I’m planning to shift careers.. I just filed my resignation and starting to apply as an Online ESL teacher. thanks for the info btw, it was really useful for me..

Hi Ethan! As long as you can make English conversations you may still be qualified depending on the qualifications on some schools. I, too, am not an English major. : )

Thanks for this information Jill. I’m not an ESL but rather a technical support representative for two years now. I’m interested with home-based ESL and has these requirements but I’m not a graduate of English major. Am I still qualified? I’m a CoE grad.

Hi Jill,
I am an online English teacher to Koreans and chinese. I graduated from University of the Philippines with Diploma in Language and LIteracy Education and passed the Licensure Examination for English Teachers in the Philippines. Teaching is my passion!

This is a good place for teachers like me!
